1. Who we are
GP Journey ("GP Journey", "we", "us", "our") is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [registered address / company registration number]. GP Journey provides online exam preparation tools for doctors applying to GP training schemes in Ireland, including question banks, mock exams, a knowledge base, and related study tools (the "Service").
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
2. Eligibility
The Service is intended for healthcare professionals and trainees aged 18 or over. By using the Service you confirm you meet this requirement.
3. Your account
- You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
- One account is for your own personal, individual use only. Accounts may not be shared, transferred, or used by more than one person.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts used in breach of these Terms, including sharing of login credentials or content.
4. Subscriptions, pricing and access periods
- Access to paid question banks and tools is sold in fixed-term blocks (currently 8 weeks from purchase, or as otherwise stated at checkout). Access ends automatically at the end of the paid period unless renewed.
- Mock exams are single-use per purchase and cannot be retaken once submitted, reflecting real exam conditions. If a mock exam fails to submit or is interrupted because of a fault on our end (server error, site outage), contact [SUPPORT EMAIL]. If our logs confirm the fault was ours, we'll reset your attempt.
- Prices are shown in euro (€) inclusive of any applicable tax, unless stated otherwise.
- Refunds and your right to withdraw. Because GP Journey is digital content delivered instantly, once you confirm your order and choose to begin accessing your question bank, mock exam, or other paid content, you lose your right to withdraw or cancel that purchase, in line with Irish and EU consumer law on digital content. Before that point (i.e. if you haven't yet accessed what you bought), you can withdraw within 14 days using the withdrawal option in your account settings, or by emailing [SUPPORT EMAIL]. Once you've started using what you paid for, purchases are non-refundable, except where something on our side genuinely failed.
5. Intellectual property and copyright
- All questions, scenarios, rationales, articles, and other content on GP Journey (the "Content") are the copyright of GP Journey (or licensed to us) and are protected under Irish and international copyright law.
- Your account grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to access the Content for your own individual exam preparation. You may not copy, reproduce, screenshot, record, redistribute, publish, sell, or share the Content, in whole or in part, outside your own personal study use.
- Content may be digitally and visibly watermarked with your account's registered email address to help identify unauthorised distribution. Circulating, screenshotting, or otherwise sharing Content outside permitted personal use may result in immediate account termination and legal action, including claims for damages and costs, under Irish copyright law.
- If you believe Content has been shared or circulated without authorisation, or if you have concerns about copyright, contact us at [SUPPORT EMAIL].
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract Content or the underlying question bank, scoring logic, or spaced-repetition/study-planning algorithms;
- use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service;
- attempt to bypass paywalls, entitlement checks, or usage limits;
- upload or transmit anything unlawful, infringing, or harmful through any feature of the Service (e.g. support forms).
7. Disclaimer: not medical or professional advice
GP Journey is an educational exam preparation tool. It does not constitute medical advice, and completing it does not guarantee any particular exam outcome, interview result, or training scheme placement. Official exam content, format, and eligibility criteria are set by the Irish College of General Practitioners (ICGP) and other relevant bodies, so always verify current requirements directly with ICGP.
8. Limitation of liability
GP Journey is a study aid, not a guarantee. We're not liable for exam results, interview outcomes, or training scheme placements, and we don't accept liability for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the Service. Where the law does allow us to cap our liability, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't lawfully be limited (for example, fraud, or death or personal injury caused by negligence).
9. Changes to the Service and these Terms
We may update the Service or these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or an in-app notice. Continued use after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these Terms, including content-sharing or account-sharing violations. You may close your account at any time by contacting [SUPPORT EMAIL]; no refund is given for unused access unless required by law. See our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data when your account is closed.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
